My expectations were exceeded. Thai-An offered such a clear and balanced step-by-step process to relationship work that is easy to replicate. In addition, you get to keep the course and can revisit at your own pace at any time. Would greatly recommend!

This was honestly the best course I've taken on relationship work. I feel so much more confident now treating couples because I have actual tools that are super effective. I've been using this format and the methods with my clients and I'm seeing tremendous progress. Thai-An has truly taken David Burns' amazing relationship work to the next level and added many new and brilliant components to it. I'm so grateful for this amazing learning experience.

These tools were presented in a practical manner that allowed me to start using them with clients soon after the training sessions. Practice sessions really helped to reinforce and solidify the techniques we were learning. This is one of the most useful trainings I have done!

Frequently asked questions

I will have to miss a session, can I still get the CEUs?

Yes, you can miss up to two sessions and still get the CEUs for Oklahoman therapists. You will need to rewatch the recording and send me a short summary.

Can I get the CEs to count for a different state outside of Oklahoma?

You will have the check with your state board about this training counting for your license. Currently it is only approved for Oklahoman LPCs, LMFTs, LBPs, LADCs and LCSWs. All therapist will earn 28 TEAM-CBT certification units upon completion of the course (You can miss up to 2 sessions.)

Do I need prior TEAM-CBT training to attend this training?

Prior knowledge of TEAM-CBT can be helpful, but this course is for all therapists. I will provide you workarounds for those who do not have the therapist toolkit.

I don't work with couples, will this training still be beneficial for individual clients with relationship problems?

Every session will be beneficial and applicable to individual clients with relationship problems. All the tools will apply for individuals as well. With that said, there will be about 40% of material discussing how to apply this treatment process to couples as well.

I have another question that hasn't been answered.

Thai-An's TEAM-CBT for Relationships/Couples Course has not only equipped me with valuable tools to help clients, it has also been very helpful in my personal relationships.

Greg Smith, PhD, Kansas

This is a fantastic course to teach the skills of relationship therapy and increase your confidence as a therapist. It's worth it just to watch Thai-An modeling these skills.

Rev. Alison Bastien Lovell

Appropriately challenging, informative and structured for the optimal application of the concepts proposed—This training is worthy of the investment both of time and finances. This course is recommended for newcomers to the field, and worthy of seasoned therapy professionals, Thai-An is a formidable facilitator in raising the potential of one’s practice!

Thai-An's relationship class allowed me to see how I could do couples work, for the first time, in an effective and compassionate way. I have learned so much about different relationships in my own life in doing personal work. The weeks are divided into internal or individual work and then working together with a couple using the TEAM model. I value the time spent each week looking forward to learning the next steps and practicing in small groups. Worth every minute!

I highly recommend this course to anyone who works with individuals or couples. I learned so much more than I expected, and built confidence in a way that I can immediately apply to my sessions with clients. Even though I am only see individuals I now have a new way of working with the tools, and I am inspired to invite partners into sessions to help build understanding and closeness between them. Thai-An is compassionate, organized, and thoughtful and how she delivers her teaching and modifies it according to what the participants need and want.

Thai-An's course, TEAM-CBT for Healing Relationships and Couples, gave me an effective framework for helping couples and individuals with their relationships using the TEAM approach. There's a lot of content here, but it was well-organized and clear. Thai-An's live demonstrations modeled the type of therapy I strive to provide, and the practice sessions helped me gain competence and confidence in these skills. As we've progressed through this course, I'm also grateful to have grown in my own relationships, especially in my marriage!
